just a bit of info on what i've bought! ... 18 month old BO fitted with a Vance & Hines 2 into 2 big radius super tuned screamin eagle 32109-08C included...its only covered 400 miles from new so i think it still needs running in so to speak

might be in the minority on here but not a great fan of this exhaust, and would like something a bit quieter (waiting to be flamed..lol)

sounds nice- post up some pics. yep you'll need to break her in to 1000 miles before really getting on it. nothing wrong with wanting a pipe that suits your riding needs. i personally like loud pipes so the idiot cage drivers hear me coming. Look into getting a 2-1 pipe, these short 2-2 pipes do look cool but they cause some loss of TQ, and will always be a bit louder than a 2-1 with a decent can on the end.

only done about 20 miles so far...brought it home but had some business to attend to today so couldn't get out for another ride! ... first impressions where "oh my god! ...this is like trying to wrestling a Gorilla whilst wearing roller boots!!!! ...lol took a little while for me to get the feel of it.

its being so used to sports bikes that had me so detached from the Breakout. Hopefully a few hundred miles along the road will have me feeling part of the bike.

You have to change what you focus on.

Sport bikes are all about acceleration, handling, and deep leaning on curves.

Cruisers (Harleys) are all about sound, feel, vibration, and deep relaxation. Listen to your engine. Feel the rythmic vibration. RELAX.

AHarley is a high quality machine, but NOT one designed for the same mission as a sport bike. Enjoy this NEW focus. Don't try to apply the old one.

Yeh you'll get used to it rather quickly just take her out for a couple of all day rides. Sort of like going from a 911 to an Escalade.

Where it's going to feel the weirdest is at slower speeds, whereas a sport bike always feels nimble. BTW if you keep the pipes, pull the baffles out and put in a set of baffles from Big City Thunder. makes the pipes sound much better. still loud, but no longer tinny. https://www.bigcitythunder.com/ they have a "quiet" version too but have not heard them.

Now you are starting to understand. The culture of Harley riders is WAY different than that of sport bike riders - It's NOT only about the bikes. The "outlaws" are one end of the bell curve of Harley riders, but there is a very WIDE bell curve with different focuses. There are some pretty common elements to Harley riders though:

- Conservative
- Religious
- Independent, but fiercely supportive of their friends
- High degree of personal responsibility
- Believe in the 2nd amendment, and skilled shooters
- MANY ex-military
- MANY ex and current police officers and firefighters
- Leather, cotton, and jeans, not synthetic clothing
- Generous in support of charitable efforts
- Generous in support of community efforts
- Like to get together and party, but mostly with people of like values
- Respect for history
- Respect for honor

You're going to find this a whole new experience, and one that you will amaze you with its breadth.
