AzDeuce.....I had the BSS on my Deuce (seemy photo album) and i didnt get that tinny/sharp sound. Did you do the complete upgrade??? jetting/remap??? is she getting enough air??? she never made any noise until i cracked the throttle.

ORIGINAL: AzDeuce

Crazy....BSS are loud and tinny/sharp at idle with the stock baffles. With the quiet baffles it is a nice lower pitch rumble. You can cruise by the cops and they won't look your way but still make plenty of noise on accell. I also gained lower end torque (take-off) which is noticeable. I like em' alot and don't have any reason to look at anything else. Good luck with your decision, there are alot of choices out there.

Sorry for taking so long to answer the questions (my father in law passed away)

clark1032
the wheels are renagde newports.
ratsmow
the seat postion is the same if not better then the stock seat.
if you look at the picture that shows up with signature (badlander) they look the same.
i don't use the brawler much, my wife won't ride with out a backrest. and to take the bracket off
everytime to switch seats is a pain. so when i ride with out her i use the badlander, then the stock seat with her.
thanks for the nice comments.

i also have big radius pipes, that i cut the baffles on. then i had my motor done( 95hp 110 ft torque)
so they are loader now. i also might have to changes pipes.

I have the staggered ones on my bike CC, they end to be more of a deep tones and do not get really loud unless you crank on the throttle. not sure what baffles ar in them as they were on the bike when i got it. but you can put the quiet baffles in for further assurance.

Crazy,if I may, I'd like to offer my opinion. I had the V&H BSS on my Deuce, and they sounded great. However, if you're gettin' tickets with the Big Radius, I doubt the BSS are gonna help much. I don't think the Big Radius is much louder than the BSS if at all. Of all the pipes out there, I think Rineharts sound the best. They have a deep and distinctive sound. I don't think anything else sounds like Rineharts. They are fairly quiet if you're cruisin' around at low speeds, but they open up with a nice and deep sound when you twist the throttle. My dad has Rineharts on his bike, and I love ridin' behind him and listenin' to those pipes. I'm thinkin' as long as you weren't crackin' the throttle as you passed the cops, you would be fine since they aren't that loud until you get on it. As far as looks go, I would go with a 2-into-1 on your bike. I think it would stretch it out more. The long and low exhaust keeps the low stance of a pro-street styled bike like the Deuce has. If you go with a shorter exhaust, it makes the eye focus on the center of the bike, rather than the whole thing. If you go with a longer exhaust, it draws your attention across the whole bike. And obviously the chrome exhause with the black end cap would match your bike perfect. Rinehart 2-into-1s were my first choice when I got my pipes, but I couldn't pass up the price on the Cobras that I have, and I really wanted to get those damn White Bros Shock Waves off since they were junk. Anyway, that's my opinion. Can't wait to see what you decide on and get pictures up.

Sorry to hear about your father in law man. May he
rest in peace.

Thanks L2R
I am now leaning towards the Rinehart's and the VH's.
If I chose the VH's, I will draw on your keen eye and
powder coat the tips on them.

Thanks #1
I really appreciate this kind of info. This is why I love this
web site so much.

You might would have to ceramic coat the tips, rather than powdercoat them, unless the powdercoat can handle high heat. Just a thought. I believe the Rineharts are anodized. Some people who have the Rineharts with black tips (chrome tips are available also) wind up with their tips turning a purplish color. I was told that sense the Rineharts have a lifetime warranty, you can send the tips back and get a new set if they start to change colors. To my knowledge, Rinehart and Cobra are the only two companies that offer a lifetime warranty.
