Hey guys, 2013 Iron. Recently relocated my ignition cool in between the xylinders, now I have a check engine light on when I start the bike. It goes away after a few minutes but it never did it before the relocate. Bike seems to be running fine just curious to what it could be? Any info or help is appreciated
It could be a historical code that happened when you were moving things around and might have turned the ignition on at some point. Check it and clear it and see if it goes away.
Thanks for that link, seems easy to do. That sticky is for bikes up to 2008 I wonder if the process changed in any way after that.
My ol'lady's sportster has the screaming eagle race tuner but that thing doesn't let you view any codes I don't think.
The codes in the Sticky thread should apply to bikes through 2013, after which (2014) HD switched to the BCM as part of the new HD-Lanbuss system (CANbus).
