Default Anyone fitted those upper fork decals?

I have some black fork decals to go on but am convinced I'm going to end up with a air bubbled mess, lol! When i used to put decals on cars we used to use soapy water and then squeegee the water out with a plastic credit card sized applicator. Can't see me using that method on the forks very successfully though? Anyone fitted these? ny tips on how to do it?

Reads like you know what you are doing.
Yet why would the soapy water not aid in installation?
I think that is a good idea.

FWIW...how about an assistant and heat gun?
Can you contact the manufacturer of the decal for advise?
If you ever have to remove the fork tubes from the triple clamps are the decals destroyed? Would removing the forks before hand aid in installation?

Good luck with your install.

just go slow...I was lucky, the first one on the right I had a small bit of metal showing on the bottom that I just blacked out with a black marker afterwards. cant even tell. the left side was perfect thankfully. I started from the front center and slowly pushed each side to the rear fork until they met

are they the ones being sold for Ł9.99 on ebay?
Fitted those to her Iron and they look ok.
No bubbles or anything but it was a matter of taking it slow after cleaning down the area first

Yes they'd be toast if you ever had to drop the forks and you'd have to install them in situ.

Yes mine don't fit the full length and they supplied little strips to fill in the gaps. As I'm fitting indicator relocating brackets there it wont show anyway.

The very ones. I dipped them in soapy water and shook off the excess and wrapped them round the fork leg, evened them up and attempted to squeegee and residual water out, but none came out and they are still sliding about too easily.

When I used to fit vehicle graphics/decals, where possible i'd leave them to dry overnight before driving the car. So hopefully these will be okay as i'm not intending using the bike this week. If they do come off then i'll just get another set and put them on without soapy water.

Well they stayed on at highway speeds lol! As you can see they are short on the length, but as i said, they do supply infill strips for this. As I'm putting indicator re-locators there I shouldn't need them.I think they look okay.
