looking at a slip-streamer windshield for my 2016 XL1200c custom. they say will fit 2011 XL but not my 2016 XL I can't find what the difference might be Help Please
I suspect there is a difference in the diameter of the fork tubes on the later Sporties. Take a look at the application guide on their website, some of their shields will fit your bike.
FWIW concerning tube diameters....since the time sporties went to 39mm (years ago), the only model IIRC using any different size in conventional tube/slider assemblies, would the 2016-later "48"...49mm tubes.
Manufacturers websites are notorious for not updating to include current models.
I would recommend a phone call to Slip Streamer to get correct fitment info.
Unfortunately he doesn't say who 'they' are who are telling him things, but if he looks at Slip-Streamer's website.....
the seller on E-bay has a list of fitment, since it mounts on rods which move anyway you want width of fork shouldn't make an difference. its a Stealth SS-20 Thanks for the many replies

That seller may not have stock to suit your bike, or simply not have the latest fitments list, hence the suggestions to check with the manufacturer.
