Cold clutch - I've ridden mine down around 20 degrees, and below freezing you need to be in neutral or even with the clutch handle pulled, the bike can try to lurch forward with the starter. Start it in neutral that cold and it really clanks into gear, so I start in neutral, let it warm a minute or two at least, then shut it off, put it in gear, and start again. That avoids the cold start lurch and the real hard clank in cold weather. I've tried riding below zero with my carbed 1200, but it won't even cough with starter fluid and a jumper battery to spin it faster, just not a winter loving bike...
