Check engine light & P0132 error code
I have a question and looking to see if anyone else has had a similar experience. I keep getting a check engine light on the speedometer and error code of P0132 on the FP3 trouble codes. I have a 2017 Iron 883 with Crusher Mavericks slip-ons, V&H VO2 naked A/C & V&H FP3 tuner. P0132 is an indication of front cylinder getting too much fuel. I called V&H and they tweaked the map. I rode over the weekend and it seemed fine but today as I got a few blocks down the road the check engine light reappeared along with the error code P0132.
I called V&H and they said if you keep getting a 'check engine light' its probably not the tune but maybe a oxygen sensor issue that the dealer has to to look at. I call the dealer and explain my situation. He ask if I have any MODS, I said "Yes, the FP3 tuner, slip-ons & AC." He says the problem is probably my FP3. He said he can look at it and rule out the oxygen sensor. I just have to re-flash the stock map. I'm kind of skeptical but I'm thinking of having them look at it just to rule it out.
I feel like I shouldn't be having these issues. Its a simple set up. The only thing I can think of is the order of my MODS. The bike ran fine (minus the angry lawn mower sound) while stock. Added slip-ons ran fine. Added FP3 ran fine. Added A/C & re-flashed started to get check engine and errors.
Any suggestions?
Fuel ratio could be too rich, symtoms can be decreased fuel efficiency, rough idling, misfires and hesitation.
Inspect the O2 sensor and wiring for damage, exhaust system for damage or corrosion. Test the sensor for power drops or shorts.
If the O2 sensor proves to be faulty, replace it.
The OP post being 6 years old has almost certainly been sorted.
Referring to the OP the request to restore the stock engine tune should only be done if the stock hardware is also restored, IMO.
