Default windshield

Now that I've had shorter shocks put on, the windshield is too tall. Where would I take it to have it cut down?
Thanks!

I would try any place that makes custom windows for houses or for cars, Theymay have the tools and the knowledge to cut the plastic. How much lower is your bike that it made that big of a difference in your windshield? The top of the windshield should be even with your nose so that you are looking over top of the windshiled, not through it.

How can it be too tall if your sitting on the bike, am I missing something here? I can't see where the distance of your torso changed due to shorter shocks.

Check the Yellow Pages for shops that work with plastics. laminates, plexiglass etc.

Lots of good suggestions above. If you have DIY skills, it's not a hard job. Here's a link: http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/tec...eld/index.html

Are you sure you will not be lowering the front to match the back. If you do, the screen would be in the same relative position as before.

If you have a HD QD windshield, you could always buy a replacement shield from Phat Performance Parts for about $65. I got a replacement compact shield to replace my HD standard height shield around Christmas.

I have worked for a glass shop for 28 years and my suggestion is to cover both sides of the plastic with clear contact shelf paper and draw out where you want it cut with a sharpie. Then yo can either take on the project yourself with a good jig-saw or take it to a glass shop and have them do it. Whichever you decide it needs to b cut kindaslow so as not to snag the blade and possibly crack the plastic. The contact paper is just a protection against unintentional scratches while handling the shield. I do suggest covering the whole shield with it just for exta safe-guards and peace of mind. The contact paper is only maybe $4 at any wally world.
