Nightster cleaning problem
Hi,
Im having a very hard time to clean up my Nightster 09 wrinkle finish primary cover. I have tried everything I have read at other threads by now. WD-40, Dawn, CRC Contact Cleaner, degreaser. Man, you name it.
Does anyone have any idea?
I have attached a picture so you can see how it looks.

what do you have on it? I got polish on mine, and it wont come off either!! Do you think the magic eraser or simple green will work?

As you can see at the thumbnail picture in my first post it seems like oil drips. I took my machine to the local HD dealer to check if it was a leakage but they told me everything was fine.
I can tell you that the magic eraser didnt work for my case.
Im so frustrated that I think that the next step will be get quotes for new covers or to get them painted.

That does look like oil. Try some sort of degreaser such as purple power from advance auto. That should also strip wax. Use a stiff brush and do not let it sit for too long. degreaser is an acid and the longer it sits the better it removes. And the more damage it can do. Try very hard not to get any on your aluminum parts, it will spot them for sure if left on for any amount of time. It that does not work try brake cleaner. Hell if that dont work paint it black, I did and it looks alot better!
