I am looking to reshape my own stock seat (I need to move the position backward) and put some memory foam and or gel inserts in it. I would like to find a kit that would also include an insert for the passenger pad.
Or you can send it to Mean City Cycles and they will do the same thing for a couple hundred bucks...but you will not know until you get it back if they hit the mark or not on shaping it how you want.
+1 on gel getting hot hot when the bike sits in the sun. I'd forget about trying a memory foam pillow though, as the foam used in pillows won't be near dense enough. Pillow foam is made dense enough to support the weight of your head, not your entire body. Check with places that do furniture re-upholstery work, they carry foam in various density grades that will work better.
