you may want to see what shakes out in the near future for the sportster line. the bobcat, rr (not just the rr3 everyone obsesses over...because?), and the stock configuration (bwana1) seem to work just fine.
I still have quite some time to wait it out and see what comes around by the time I'm ready to buy the Hammer kit. After spending the money on the kit I will probably just go with the less expensive Rush slip-on's to start with since my stock slip-on's are cracked after gutting them and running TTI'S. They worked great for a while.
The Rush 3" slip-on's with 1-3/4" baffles and stock headers performed well with the Hammer kit based on their tests so I think they will be a good choice. https://www.1250kits.com/ttxlexhaust.shtml
Just curious to gain further knowledge from someone with way more experience on the subject than myself. Is the curve shown on kmontague's graph in post 151 what you would consider desirable since it comes on immediately and stays nice and flat all the way across the RPM range?
See post in for some important issues about the attached dyno sheet. RSD intake, OEM map/no tuner, Remus Custom exhaust with manual sound control. Green line Remus set to “quiet”, yellow line Remus set to “loud”.
2019 1200 Iron, 1250 Hammer kit, 570 jackhammer cams, flat top pistons, SE CNC ported performance heads, DK Customs Outlaw HiFlow 636v Air Cleaner, Rinehardt 3" slipons. Break in tune for the first 500 miles or so, then I'll have them take another whack at it, was hoping for a bit of a smoother chart but maybe once I get the break in period over that can get ironed out. Torque curve seems a bit funky too, any gurus have any insight there as to what might be causing the fluctuations in the curves?
Figured I would add mine. Another example of the RR3 exhaust. Tuned today, 2010 XL1200X, Hammer 1275 kit flat top pistons, 570 Jackhammer cams, modified Heavy breather assembly (sportster bracket, m8 tube and filter), Bassani Road Rage 3 exhaust, stock heads. I was honestly expecting a little less because of the larger than stock rear tire (180/70r16) and the 66T rear pulley. When I added those last year it felt great cruising at higher speeds, but I really felt the loss down low. This was part of the reason for the upgrade.
Pretty happy with the setup, pulls nice and consistant and so far seems to cruise great at any rpm with no decel pop.
Here's my dyno. I have A Power Vision Tuner, Roland Sands Breather and Vance and Hines Big Radius. I had is dyno tuned By J and B Performance in Mohawk, TN.

2019 Harley 48. All stock internals. Just changed the Breather, Exhaust and Power Vision Tuner and had it Dyno-tuned by J and B Performance. The guys at J and B are awesome and will absolutely bring out the best performance in your bike!
