Has anyone put one of those big HID lights like you see on the front of the trophy trucks on their harley? What would i need to do to make that possible?
i tried a hid kit before the harley led light....led put out a way better light (to me) and seemed to have a nice color. i prefer the hd light...people says its expensive but it literally pulgs right in and is made for the bike....nothing beats that. phillips head screwdriver and your all set.
just my opinion...i know people like different things

Yeah i dont really want to do any kits i dont mind the stock light output. I wasnt doing it to get more light out of it, I was just talking about putting one of those big round offroad lights on the front of my bike with some dirtbike bars on it. And i would just get a HID offroad light. Like the one pictured if you can see it
I would think that the off road HID would not have a beam pattern conducive to using it as a headlight. Most of those lights are meant to shine long distances and dont have the appropriate pattern to use on the road. You might **** off oncoming traffic with that thing. You should consider retrofitting your stock headlight with an HID bulb/ballast (illegal I believe) or spring for the HD LED unit that is DOT approved.
why dont you want to buy the ballast and bulb and use your stock headlight assembly? is that possible?
Because i want the look of the Offroad light haha

Yeah that would make sense. i have two of that exact light on my jeep and they shine far and wide like they are built to do. Like i said i wasnt so worried about having HID as just having the look i guess.
You should check out some off road light grills if you are just going for the look. I know PIAA makes a few. Maybe you can figure out how to attach one to your stock headlight.
