With the price of the Day Maker LED head light being 550.00 at a 20% discount and the Truck Lite at around 225.00.
What ever happened to HID lighting? it's a fraction of the price at 60-70.00 and appears to be just as bright.
I just can't imagine spending 550.00 on a head light. I do believe bright lights save lives and I live in deer country in the middle of nowhere. I am considering the HID lighting http://www.coremoto.com/HARLEY_CRUIS...20KIT%2013.htm
Who's ran a HID head light? Any one ran both? Is there any reason not to run a HID head light? Pro's and Cons please.
Good question, I have the HD led and it does project way out there but when I turn the light is linear, it goes away, in the corners the only light I have is from my driving lights.
I think hid is a better head/spot/passing light choice than leds. Cheaper and brighter! There may be some legal problems?? But, I don't think the failure rare is any worse than stock halogen blubs??
For those that do have or ran the HID head light, does the ballast fit in the bezel? Does it run hot? What about loosing visibility in corners when turning like the LED head light?
ive been running hid's in everything i own for the 6 years. my street glide has had hid for the last 20,000 miles and i love it. no loss of lighting in corners.
