Being that a huge percentage of tuning a Harley VE table is based on the long and short term fuel trims, the theoretical response time if the 02 sensor is almost a useless piece of data. If the trims are leaning hard on the tune, you have issues. If the O2 sensors are not in their sweet spot, you have issues.
I was shocked when I got done tuning it and then looked at the MAPXRPM vs DC. The strange part is that motor uses almost no AE. They do a fair amount of prediction. The really strange thing is if they schedule a pulse width and realize that the amount of fuel is not enough, they turn the injector back on before the next cycle.
I first found it with the PC5 data logs and the duty cycle was reporting really strange numbers.
The megasquirt programmers were intrigued by the idea when I showed them the logs.
Does anyone know if the Pulse Width, as reported by the data loggers, is actually the PW that is at the injector. I am wondering if the Injector Dead Time is included in that number.
