I am leaving next week to head up to GA. I am leaving with Christine and was wondering besides the highway 75....what is another route that would be a nice route to take. If I take off on 75 I get off on exit 142 in GA. I know lots of you ride up to GA so I amlooking forward to some sweet routes! Thanks in advance! ;-)
In case you check here first before your email, check your email. I just sent you one right before coming here. There's a teensy tiny bit of a change in plans...(still going, so not "that" type of change). LOL
Depending on how much of a hurry, 41 to exit 414, get on 75 there to bypass Lake City, get off at exit 451. This is 129. It will run you right in to Warner Robins. Or, to save time run 75 from your house to exit 451 and take 129 on up. Nice ride, done it many times.

No better source..... right there. LOL cHarley, Kimbo, Bob, and Harvey do a lot of running up this way too.
It's all about the travel time you can afford. Quick, "get it done", hard to beat I-75.
If your looking for scenic then 129 is the way to go. A few small towns with places to get gas or eat and some pretty country. Not a fast route and also watch for the wildlife. Have a fun and safe ride.

Where are you headed in Ga, that makes a difference route wise?
Do you have a GPS that can load Route files? If so, I can send you some great back country routes that would be hard to run with only a map. Too many unmarked or easy to miss turns in the middle of nowhere...
I'm heading back to FL tomorrow and will run back-roads all the way through Ga to Lake City.

Wade's suggestion still sounds the best. Just stay on 129. What day you leaving? I guess this is the girls only thing but a couple guys up that way might just be willing to tag along for a little ways anyway. Just Saying.
