Thank you sir... It's been a long time coming. It's an honor to stand.
When I joined the PGR in 2007 they didn't use Mentors either. Times have changed and the Mentor program makes sure every new member understands the ins and outs. It's a good program, I'm proud to be one. It is also the Mentors responsibility to follow up with new members at missions and make sure they are introduced to everyone and to monitor their progress.
I would be happy to share the new member packet here but it is for the Georgia guidelines. It could be tweaked for your area.

I would love to see it. If you can send me a PM that would be great.
My only concern with suggesting it here in VA will be "Great you are now in charge of the Mentor Program" And I barely have enough time to go on 4 or 5 PGR missions a year.
Edited to add,
I just checked with our Assistant State Captain. We do not have a mentor program here in VA. But he is interested in seeing your new member packet and hearing more about your mentor program.
I'm in the Washington DC area and we do a lot of missions at Arlington National Cemetery. And ANC is a whole different set of rules compared to other locations. I could see the Mentor program being very beneficial at ANC.
Congrats Mr Wizard!!!! Tomorrow will my 15th Anniversary as a Proud PGR Member. Lots of Miles with the Best Folks God placed on this Planet. Many Blessings on your new assignment!

I started in 2007 so I too have many miles, what an awesome ride. I recently retired so I accepted the fast track. First Mentor then RC. Am in for the long haul. Peeps in Georgia are incredible.
@VAFish Have been in the mountains riding all day. Will send you the info tomorrow.
