I am sorry but i cant see why people use money on trying to get a "cool" idle sound.... :P
who the **** cares about idle sound.. rather sound like ****ing thunder at full throtle!
Perhaps the sound brings back good memories of days gone by?
I think my andrews 21 has a nice lopey idle to them at idle. I think you would be happier in the long run to look for a exhaust system with the sound you are after. Much lower risk of sacrificing performance in order to get that pan head lope. That or sell and buy a pan...
Take a listen to the video below-
All the bikes are newer model, EFI. Doubt that a TC can ever sound like a shovel or a pan, but they can sound a lot better than stock.
The last bike/trike in the video is a stock 103 wethead, only changes are tune (idle is still at 1000), Outlaw A/C and W258's in Rush slip-ons connected to Fuel Moto headers. Not a shovel sound by any stretch, but still a good rumble with a bit of a lope.
