My Sundowner deep bucket seat rubs on the curved portions of my hard bag lids. Does anybody have any idea how to fix this? I really like this seat it is really comfortable on my lower back.
Is there any adjustment in the bags, as to where they might move back some?
There is a little play in the mounting brackets and with a little effort, you can geta bitmore by resizing the mount hole in the bracket a bit. You may also get the added clearance with a fender washer or spacer behind the mounting bracket, but you would have to do the front and the back both. It would space the top of the bag out away from the seat more.
Would it help to get some of the protective film that 3M makes and apply it to the section that it is rubbing on?
I have the same problem. Might try moving the bads back as far as possible. If that doesn't work, spacers would help. I was also thinking about callin badazz to see if he could work some majic on the seat.
