The one thing that bugs me about changing batteries is; trying to get them in and out!
Why oh why don't manufacturers add a fold down handle like they do for car batteries, I would gladly pay an extra dollar for the convenience!...rant over

Amen, thats the biggest thing a dread in the project of replacing lol.
i am going to stop by batteries plus this week and see what they have based off the feedback given here, its less than mile from my house. no hurry considering there is over foot of snow at my house at the moment lol
Any one carry a spare LI-PO battery? I'm talking about the LI-PO ones that are about the size of 1/3 sheet of paper? For traveling backup? I just got one at Lowes for $80.00 will carry it on the bike and when my buddies and I go wandering the outlands in our 4x4s. Just incase we need a jump. Plus you can charge cell phones and stuff with them---I believe its 400amps worth of juice in it says can jump a standard car--haven't opened it up yet but will later today and see. Harley dealer here was offering similar items for like $150.
Ill get more info---I'm familiar some with LI-Po batteries from Radio Control Helicopters. Lots of juice in that small size format. But you need to treat them well.

My Electra had a strap that was supposed to assist in lifting the battery out. However the battery rubbed it and when I tried pulling on it, it snapped. Very annoying. This gives me an idea..... If I'm a millionaire next year, I'll thank you guys.

Here is the Link--mixed reviews on the Jumper cables on it on the Lowes website----I will unpack it and look at it more---since its new----$99 at Lowes (on sale for $79 at my Lowes store in Town) and for similar device Harley dealer wanted $150. Other ones out there of similar concept---for the price this item will be traveling with me going forward.
will post another reply after I unpack it and check it out.
I also asked the Harley Dealer if I could just plug the one they were selling into the Battery tender cable that is on the bike instead of of using the Jumper cable connection that comes with their modle --thay said no because of the amps it would smoke the connection since the Battery tender cables are not set for that type of amperage. They had already checked out that solution and found it didn't work with the Battery tender cables to the Battery.
