I was at the harley dealer the other day and one of the sales guys their pointed out that I had a rare windshield option on my bike. Does anyone know if their is any truth to this? I didn't realize until then that the whole windshield trim is different.
My 95th Anniversary Road King Classic is rare, only year they made it! Your shield is probably the same deal, they only put them on RKs that year. Cool trim though.
well then my 1953 is rare as a "49th Anniversary Model"...it may be of interest to riders that the original Harley and Davidsons considered 1954 the Golden Anniversary.
the 1998/95th, 2003/100th etc were all dreamed up by marketers who couldn;t wait...
1903 is the founding of the Company. the Founders considered 1904 the first year as that is when production started.

Interesting, never heard that before. And those marketers can suck it...I love my bike, but if you want to have a stroke go search eBay for a 95th Anniversary air cleaner/derby/timing cover. They've got these fools convinced the stuff is worth like $500. Thought it'd be a cool to add one of those as a little trim piece...decided to buy beer instead and save the other $480 lol
