So I called Wolfgang and asked about switching from my D&D Fatcat to the Boarzilla for my 117..... He said he thought it was a good idea- then said , if you are going with Boarzilla- what about going up to 124?? We talked about it, and went that route. He said it was the same $$, no different , so why not....

So I might give up a little longevity on the engine life with a longer stroke, but I'm doing good to get 5k miles in a year anyway- so why not go bigger

Fatcat works fine with the 124" FWIW.

.... Just got home, met with Wolfgang for a little bit to discuss 124 details...

He was originally going to use my 777 and different rocker arms for the 117 build.... He said he might still can, but isn't sure.... would like to use Woods 9 series cam and roller rockers, but that is going to add about $1000... but we'll see....

He said going the 124" route, my compression will be about 11.4 (10.8 with the 117 route)....

Should sound good!!!! Maybe a couple weeks from being finished.... hopefully

Wolfgang will get every horse out of that engine. Amazed that not more people know about him. Would love to see it when he's done.

Subscribed! Hell yea man looking forward to some pics and sounds clips. That much compression with a solid tune should make some good numbers. I love my 124", I'm at about 10.6 because gas in California sucks and I commute on the bike everyday, but man I'd love to get some real good heads and go a little bigger on the cam and start chasing that 150 number but I need to upgrade my clutch basket and switch to chain drive first. I don't have any plans on pushing anymore power out of this thing honestly but I think about it all the time haha. I'll be following along man good luck! What clutch do you plan on running?? Any plans on going chain?

I don't think we have any plans on switching to chain drive - as long as the belt can take a roll on throttle I think I'll be Ok - I don't see me snapping this throttle ... I don't like pulling the front wheel up or spinning the back tire - that stuff honestly scares me!!

I think we are just doing a VMI lockup on the clutch basket.... I burned my clutch up a couple years ago and had upgraded to Screamin' Eagle plates in my clutch - so hopefully the VMI lockup with SE plates will work Ok....

We are putting in a Baker compensator and getting rid of the spring/self adjusting primary chain....

I can find 93 octane (I think) here in Houston and most of Texas most of the time.... I guess when I go out of town I'll be throwing some Octane Booster in the saddle bag... :-)

I'm hoping it is finished in a couple of weeks - but now that I've changed the build, might have a little delay waiting on parts.....

A little update... not too much....

My 58mm Throttle Body should be in any day....

He is going to start putting the motor back together this week...

Went with the Wood 9f cam... he said it is his favorite cam for a street bike (not drag bike).

He had a take off Boarzilla in his shop, so that was cool.....

He said we might hit 150 TQ.... maybe... should see some numbers in the next couple weeks... man I'm ready to hear what it is going to sound like...
