I've heard going to the sprocket, away from the compensator makes the bike jerkier. I've thought about that route myself if this comp goes out. What do you think about it so far?

It's hard to say.
Bike is way jerkier...... But, I went from 85-90 TQ at 2500 RPMs, to 130 TQ..... So that's going to make it jerkier......
I will say it is a lot noisier....
Bike vibrates more too.... But again that could be 21 more cubic inches at 11.4 compression....
Lastly , bike handles great in 1st and 2nd... Not hard to control like I was afraid of....
The bike shouldn't be any more jerkier if you keep your RPM's above 2000. You cant lug an engine with a sprocket down low like you could with a compensator. It will really jerk on yo if you do. Just my observation with my bike.

Thanks.... Only time I'm below 2000 is taking off in 1st..... about 2700 is as low as I go.
Yup! You got about 10hp up on me. She can run away if your not careful. Going 70 down the freeway and punch it. Mines still pulling away at 100+ but takes some effort to back her down. Sure is nice never having to downshift!

I can only imagine, with the throttle response and tq/hp, I'd be afraid that without a backrest I'd be sitting on the street on my ***, while the bike was crossing the intersection without me.
