C.H.L.,

I would go with direct drive and get rid of the Baker Compensator with the amount of torque you will be putting down. Call Baker and tell them you will be around 150 ft lbs of torque. They might tell you to go direct drive. Thats what they told me. Evolution Industries is what I went with.

Or go with the Game Changer. Its supposed to handle that power level. The Baker unit is not recomended above 135 ft lt.

With Wolf modifying the throttle body and heads, you're going to be impressed. I was in his shop back in April to tune my bike. He showed me one of his modified Magnetti Marelli injection units and a few other things. That man can squeeze more horsepower out of a TwinCam than anyone else. I had done all of my motor work myself, but after a few months of trying to tune it myself I took it to Wolf. He and I spent the better part of a day on the Dyno. By the time that we had finished, I had 105hp and 109tq out of a 97" engine with 510 cams. I love the way mine runs now. And for those who aren't familiar with Wolf, he is practically unbeatable in the Wyotech Brute Horsepower Shootout. He has a 98" TwinCam that puts out 184hp.

Thanks for the advise guys.... to be honest - I don't know everything he is doing...

He is a motor builder - not me... I work on hospital equipment and study theology - those are my areas of expertise... When it comes to the bike, I let him do what he feels is best. I know he is getting rid of the auto adjusting tension set up in the primary, and going with something else. I really didn't ask many questions. Again, I went with him because he seems like a nice guy, was very easy to talk to, has a reputation of making great power, was very reasonably priced, and lives 15 minutes from me.

We should have a dyne sheet in a couple weeks hopefully....

Not too much to update....

Wolfgang started assembly on the motor last week- checking clearances on the high lift cam (Wood 9f) and stuff....

Still waiting on HCI to ship back Throttle Body.....

I'm so ready to see the results!!!!!! Suspense is rough!! But I've been waiting nearly 3 years to build this motor, so what's a few more days/weeks...

As a heads up- Wolf is going to recommend you replace your crankshaft with a 107- you don't have to, but he strongly recommends it.... And, if he gets into the Motor, and the crank run out is bad, he won't put it back together.

Just FYI ....

I went for a 107- he talked me into the new crankshaft.... Then it was only $300 difference between 107 and 117..... So why not... Then the price was the same between 117 and 124... So why not lol
