Can anyone tell me how much the dealer charges to install the smart security system...parts & labor there is....I have a 15 road glide....thks in advance.
Check the bay I bought a kit NIB (BCM and 2 remotes)for $225 plus 1/2 hour for dealer to install. The installation is just swapping the BCM and plugging in the antenna lead under the left side cover. But the dealer has to synch the new BCM with the bike. The bike won't start. The bay parts look exactly like HD's even similar labels with the absence of the HD part #.
If your road glide came with fobs you already have part of the security system. From the instructions on the Harley web site it looks like a ten minute job.

Are you wanting the security system or the smart siren, or both?
Both look like really easy installations. I installed the smart siren in about 10 minutes. A lot of dealers have a minimum one hour charge, so whatever the shop rate is, figure $100. I also have the pager.
thanks guys...my RG didn't come w/ the security system, I stopped by the dealer today and they want $200 to install the smart security system and another $50 for the siren....... W/ everything parts & labor it's gonna be around $700 bucks.....
Just got another quote for $150 1.5hrs from another dealer to install the security system and siren, plus $360 for the first 1k mile service and 10% off on top of everything....wtf.....the other dealer wanted $250 2.5hrs and $400 for the first service....they just can't win my business, this is the 5th time I tried to deal w/ them but seems like they overprice everything....
If your 15 is anything like my 08, installation was real simple, alls I had to do is replace the TSM with the TSSM, add the antenna then there was a certain sequence of switching the ignition switch on and off to marry the TSSM to the ECM and that was it. Then alls I had to do is ride the bike to the dealer to have then link the fobs to it, they charged $20 to do that. I also added the security siren to mine and installation of it was real simple also.
