Correct ohm speakers
Regarding the MP3 "skipping" issue, here's another angle on the matter: it may not be the MP3 player but the actual track-recording that is "skipping".
Here's the short version of what may be happening: if you rip and burn the tracks on a PC/notebook that is somewhat underpowered (low amount of RAM or processor speed) or being overworked (several other applications also running on your PC while you are ripping or burning the tracks) your burned track will have "skips" in them that are essentially spots in the music where your processor just plain got overloaded and could not handle al the processes and therefore ripped and/or burned that section of the track with flaws.
When you play the track in the MP3 player, that flaw comes out as a "skip" or garbled music. I have a Zumo 550 on my FLHT/CU and several weeks ago I noticed some of the tracks I loaded into the Zumo's SD card play like crap. I went nuts trying to trace the trouble until I decided to test the 1-GB SD card and play its tracks in another environment (my notebook). It turned out the faulty tracks played the same garbled faults no matter what MP3 player I used.
Moral of the story is when you are ripping and buring new music in a PC or notebook that is memory- or processor-challenged (like mine) make sure you shut down all other non-essential applications, to free up the processor and RAM to allow it to focus on your music.
My two cents.
Ride safe.
