I have a 7 inch medium tint. I like it a lot better than stock. The wind coming in from the front of the bike goes up and over my head.
It seems that I have more buffeting since installing the LRS. Maybe not buffeting, but more wind coming up from under the fairing. I'm not sure if the shield has anything to do with this. But I didn't notice it being like this until I installed the shield. I'm wondering if I should go to an 8 or 9 inch.
I measured a few times while sitting on the bike. It looks like the 9" will work best for me. Thanks for your input.

Try the fairing deflectors or soft lowers. I have the same shield and had the same issue until i did the deflectors and lowers
i have the 7 inch and 9 inch Ultra Elite. I like them a lot.
I'm sure the vent in the fairing helps you out. I'll just cut a hole in my fairing lol. I did put some fairing wind deflectors on. Actually a 9" windscreen will come to about the upper lip and allow me to see over it. I also found out that when I took my half helmet off it actually decreased the buffeting by at least 50% or more. I still had the buffeting with a full face and 3/4 on with a shorter windshield on. But I was surprised how much less buffeting I had with no helmet at all.

I have the fairing deflectors from Kuryakyn ordered. They should be here in a couple of days. This is a new design from Kuryakyn. I hope they would well.

I put those on about a week ago. They seem to restrict some of the air flow coming from around the tank. They are easy to put on and easy to open and close.

Actually the vent in the fairing is a big help with the stock windshield. I have no problem with the stock equipment except I'm short of torso and don't see over it. I've had 4 LRS shields altogether on two different bikes. I see no reason to pay $150 bucks for other brands. These work well.
