I'm looking for a friend who has a 07 Road Glide and his cruise control module went out. Harley told him they don't make it anymore and there aren't any aftermarket ones available. Any ideas would help
Ebay has several altbough you'll have to research what he has and what will cross reference to it. Most of the time parts from several years will work. Id think that anything with a CC from 07 or 08 would work but it could be a much wider range than that.
Also, do a search for something like motorcycle salvage yards. I know that there are several that buy wrecked/junk bikes and part them out.
You are correct, the 08 doesn't have the same set up as the 07.
Looking through the parts finder the 07 shares the CC module with 04, 05 and 06 model years. The part number is 70989-04 and they price it at $408.03. Interestingly enough it appears to still be available. At least it lets you add it to the cart without any warnings and appears to let you proceed to checkout.
You'll probably be able to find a used module on eBay. My police bike came without it and I just got parts in to install an aftermarket cruise, I quit searching expensive Harley parts that aren't supported.
