Was getting some vibration in the windshield and fairing at most rpms.
SoI did the tear the front fairing off and check the braces and brackets that has been disscussed, here on the forums.
They were all ok, so I just tightened up all the fasteners that hold them all together, and now the vibration has gone away.(got anywhere from a 1/8 turn to a 1/2 turn on them)
Since they all mostly go into brass inserts that are installed into the fairing,I am questioning the use of blue threadlocker(Loctite), as I don't want to be stripping out inserts should I need to take the fairing apart.

Thougts?
I wouldn't use Loctite near the fairing, as it can cause some plastics to crack. Loctite 242, for example, carries the warning that it "may attack some plastics." It's a volatile component in Loctite that causes the trouble, and once evaporated there is little or no further danger. So if you fixed a fastener with threadlocker, let it sit for a while, then install it near plastics, there would probably be no problem.
All you peopleusing any kind of color locktite on your windshield will be drilling out
and replacing the brass inserts for sure. Thats not an opinion its a fact.
I have a Road Glide and the stock winshield use to rattle until I added the chrome fairing piece, dont know the name.
