Thanks everyone, I will grab a pair of HD gaskets from my dealer.
Might want to grab 2 sets just in case (10 bucks) I installed mine by flipping the exhaust flange over and tightening each side down equally until the flange bottomed out.
I've had the exact opposite advice! Each to their own.

2 schools of thought on the gaskets. The oem should seal better but can distort badly and crush into the exhaust port and in effect hamper exhaust flow. The flat SE style are more finicky to get to seal up but should not distort in exhaust port. Thats why they make them that way. If the oem style had zero downside to it no one would make them different than that.
Use the gasket the header manufacturer recommends. The HD Stock pipe is beveled at the end so use a beveled gasket. If the end of the head pipe is flat like Vance & Hines use the flat screamin eagle gasket.
