I run a TPX on my Hayabusa. Had it on there 4 years with no problems whatsoever. This thing is made for bikes with obvious touches like Nice big glove friendly buttons and no worries about rain/elements the thing works like a champ. I have it hard wired in and mounted on a neck stem mount.
I have a Valentine 1 that I use in my BMW auto. I bought a waterproof box for my BMW RT and used ram mounts. I'm going to use the same setup on my Ultra.

Yup! I took the transmitter out of one of our broken radar guns and built a voltage regulator for it. Mounted it in my faring (It's about 1-1/2 inches on a side. See photo.) and put a small switch on the handlebars. Since there is no radar horn to direct the beam, it transmits in all directions and reduces it's effective distance, but it will activate radar detectors up to about one hundred yards or so. It transmits on the old X-Band frequency, but most detectors still "see" it and alert the driver. I use it primarily on the interstate. When someone goes around me and I see a radar detector on the dash, I give them a blast and watch the brake lights come on.
