You may want to try relocating... the bugs are much smaller everywhere else... JK

I run the biggest "barn door" out there, Clark 14" flattop. It is all about being comfortable. It is a touring bike and I'm old.

I also use a LRS and love it. But... if I'm out and riding at highway speed, I am sporting a helmet with a drop down shield. Doesn't have to be full-face, I have both a half and 3/4, both with drop down shields. Took a rock from a speeding tractor-trailer tire on my helmet shield last year - would have hit me square in the face without the shield. Made a believer out of me!
