So I have the 2012 manual. My stock audio volume wiring out of the switch does not match that diagram.
Out of the switch itself the wires are:
GY/GN
BN/BK
PK/W
GN/BE
However into the molex connector it's exactly as the diagram attached in the manual. The one common thing between both switches is that if the sides printed with numbers are oriented in the same direction the PK/W and BN/BK wires are in the same postion but the GN/BE and GY/GN wires are swapped like below:
Original New
GY/GN GN/BE
BN/BK BN/BK
PK/W PK/W
GN/BE GY/GN
My logic would be that as long as you orient the numbers the same and install the switch as the original in the housing the volume up and down should be the same direction. Now as far as the molex connector is concerned, I would swap the new GY/GN into the old GN/BE position and the new GN/BE into the old GY/GN position.
orient the switch so that your **** fits on it correctly...and the mounting tabs all work to hold the switch in place with the top bracket

Thanks Mike, That helped perfectly with the orientation of the switch in the housing. so the second question was do I swap the wires at the molex connector since they are in different positions coming out of the switch than the original.
So figured this out. Put the pink/white wire in the same orientation as the old switch and everything else gets connected exactly as positioned on the old switch.
