I agree especially knowing we are supposed to bleed it and the brakes every two years. Reminds me of some of the crazy engineering on the jet engines I used to wrench on. Made you scratch your head and utter some colorful language for sure. At least HD switched the screw pattern of the rear brake reservoir cover to make access easier. On my 04 RKC the one cover screw is situated right under the header pipe bend.
well, maybe one of the reasons they went back to the cable clutch. I havent touched the rear brake line, gonna take it to the dealer and let them flush both lines just to be sure.

Oscar for what it's worth you can bleed your front and rear brakes yourself as long as you don't cycle your ignition switch during the process. I have a pneumatic vacuum bleeder and just did a buddy's bike.

yes, I know, Vince. I did the front. However there may still be an old fluid trapped inside the abs module. Plus, if brakes fail then it will be on the dealer. For $100 I think its an additional peace of mind.

i like the idea! May try that and paint the wind splitter brackets as well
I bought the black version by Drag Specialties...no cracking a year later. Also put a black extension on the end as I couldn't reach the stand with the YUUUGE Ness floorboards...))
not sure this is the place to ask but curious if anyone does any multi day touring on their RK Specials. Had a RGS and was thinking about trying a RKS since my touring is only a few times a year.
Hell yeah! Throw a windshield on it & you have all the wind protection you need. I couldn't be happier tripping on my '18 RKS!!
