Thanks! Ill look into. Doing a test ride on a road glide ultra friday. But still have to be on tip toes even with lowered seat. Love my heritage softball because lower. If I can find the Ultra low I think will fill the bill.....
The Ltd Low is listed on the 2018 line up, although it is the only 'Low' listed in the Touring range. I'm also pretty sure that any Touring model can have the lower rear shocks installed, including that RG Ultra.
Yes, you can lower most all models BUT you may also like the pulled back bars of the "low" and the lowered seat that also pushes the ride a little forward. I bought the "low" but I changed out the seat to the standard seat. While I needed a "low" to flat foot comfortably (5'8" w/29" inseam) the "low" seat placed me just a bit too low and a bit too far forward.
I'm not an expert but I've been told that lowering a standard can change the "geometry" and feel of the ride....as opposed to buying a "low" in the first place which they said is better designed to be low.
again thanks all. Rob your the same size as me....(My inseam probably more like 28"!) This is all good info. I think I have enough info now to try the bikes and look at mods. I will find out what is lost with the Low in regards to ride. Ill take a look at seats, etc. Im sure the dealer can assist with options etc.
