Question for the guys or gals who have upgraded their pads and rotors. I recently upgraded to Galfer front and rear rotors with their recommended pads on my 17 Road Glide. The performance is great compared to stock so thats not the issue. When I utilize either the front or rear during stopping, I get an almost metal to metal rubbing sound after I release. Ill tap the brakes to make sure its not anything major, which its not but my conclusion is due to the upgraded pads and rotor design its just a new normal noise that my bike makes. My bike is in the shop now getting some paint now but is there anything I can tell my mechanic while its in there? Appreciate any insight.

Gartec, I'm guessing this means you went with the Trask 54 tooth sprocket? What's going to be the riding difference between the 51 tooth and the 54 tooth? Better acceleration but less top speed, right?

I have the Galver floating wave disc’s in the front with the Brembo M4 calipers and pads with no problems at all. Important though is not to setup the left and right disc symmetrical. Then you get a harmonic balance that you don’t want. I do not know if this is helping with your problem, but it is worth checking.

I DoD forget to mention, I do have a slight vibration when I lean left or right. It’s slight but I feel it all the way up in the handlebars. When the bike is straight up and down, nothing. Could this be due to the rotors being symmetrical causing the harmonic balance?

That can be the case. In the Galver instructions ( also on there US website) they state that you do not mount them symmetrical left and right. Un other thing is that after mounting the new disc’s you have to balance the wheel again.
