ok,, o4 EGS,,, air shocks. I have this clunk?? when I hit small bumps in the road...I ahve looked for loose mounts, tried more pressure, more pressure makes it feel like I am topping out the shocks,,less pressure and it feels lke its bottoming out. I am 280 , the g/f is 100 wet...I tried 10 psi and it seems harsh. Are teh shocks just lousy at dampening and I just feel the rebound hitting the top limit. ?? I tried no pressure and its feels better by myself, but you can feel it bottom out with a 140 lb passenger. maybe 5 pounds it the magic number for us.... I dont seehow you guys can run at 25-30 psi..it would knock me senseless....
Also check the muffler hangers, mounting brackets for the saddlebag guard rails. Set the shock pressure with the special pump Harley sells, try around 5# pressure, then go up 1# at a time until the ride is too firm.

I don't see how you can run the air that low. I go 310 and run 25 psiin mine and it's not harsh at all.
wrusty- I notice some bottoming out ok a little after had bike for awhile so bumped psi to 22 cause I am farsited hehe. that seems good so just keep it around there. still notice it some times and I think and hope Im just a little paronoid. maybe its the saddle bags bouncing on rails? hopeing its not engine mounts but I think you also get an unusual vibe at tranny and linkage? the other thing is under fairing or pipes?
thanks for all the replys,, no the stand. I already replaced on snubber and its still there. I did find the mufflers do move int eh mounts a little,,,put some silly cone in there to add some snubber action. Plus I remounted my air shock nipple to a place I can get to it...makes it a lot easier to add/deflate air ...I am trying 5 lbs today.
we will see,, at least I can get to the stem without removeing the bag and backrest now.... thanks agian
