Want to spruce up front caliper's on 08 FLHR .
Looked hard and long [sodaspeak] for a bolt kit, came up with covers only .
Is there a bolt kit out there for this bike's calipers?
Measured the bolts 4 12 point's to hold calipers to legs,,,+4 socket heads to keep things together.
Tried measuring the thread con fig on them and WTF guess they are metric???.
Anyone know the tpi for these caliper bolts 12 point and socket head .??[roughly 3/8 and 5/16's]
Thanks in advance
Ken
which is really irrelevant since they are bolting to a japanese fork lower (showa)
But can you tell me the way back, once removed, connection between Showa and Harley Davidson?
In 1950 Showa acquired Rikuo Motorcycle, which made licensed versions of Harley Davidson motorcycles in the 1930s and 1940s. The Rikuo brand lasted until 1962. So when Showa ( who made aircraft suspension) bought Rikuo it was a historical fit that Harley use them for OEM suspension.
That's relevant
