Hey Guys,
Just bought a new 2018 ultra limited anniversary. Was wanting to lower the rear by about an inch in order to plant my feet better on ground. I see where there is one kit that is offered. Was wondering also about changing my shocks out with ultra limited low shocks? My shocks are the hand adjustable shocks. Any ideas of a better way or which of these ideas would be better. Lowering kit vs shocks. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
The seat on the Anniversary edition has blue stitching so not really wanting lose that effect. Considered having seat redone but was checking to see other options out there. Thanks for suggestion though.

The budget isn't really set in stone. However I don't want to get to crazy with a lot of mods in doing this. Different rear shocks is a consideration. I am assuming that the ultra limited low shocks will bolt right up on my ultra limited and lower it 1 inch. Is that a correct assumption? I am thinking that's a better option than putting the lowering kit brackets on the rear but not sure.
Ohlins 2-2a is the best option to lower the rear. Ill sell you mine and upgrade to the spendy ones
Thanks SmoRider. I haven't looked into the Ohlins or any shock for that matter except for the adjustable ultra limited low shocks which I gather are similar to mine except 1 inch lower. How much for your Ohilins and what are considered the speedy ones? Thanks

Yes, they will bolt up without any issues.
The "low" version of the hand adjustable shocks are 12", but you may not actually get a full 1 inch of lowering.
Be aware though, that your ride quality will suffer with those shorter shocks.
I had good success with Progressive's 444's going to a 12.5 length on my 2012. I'm 5-6 to give you an idea on that. I you do a search you'll also see shorter riders who like the 944s. Of course, opinions on shocks, seats, oil, color, etc., will vary.
