My younger brother just bought a 09 limited with 13,000 on it for a very good deal. Couple of questions i was hoping someone could help us out with.
1. Does this thing have cats on it and where are they at ? Head pipe or mufflers ?
2. Does anyone know what year HD changed the bolt style in the riser to adjust the handle bars ? I know they used to contact the radio.
3. How do you extract the codes from this bike ? Just in case.
4. Any differance in the injection system with the O2 sensors being up by the exhaust ports ?
THANKS !
I have an 09 Ultra Classic with 127,000 miles. As previously mentioned 09 is the last year without a cat in the headpipe unless California model.Has the crossover pipe go under for less heat on the passenger. First year of the new improved frame/swingarm. No contact between handlebar riser and radio on mine. Different size O2 bungs up top that wouldnt be subject to reported "crosstalk" that the bungs mounted down low by the collector could repoertedly be subject to. Same 50mm throttlebody that was introduced in 08 and was used through 2016, so the injection system is the same. Great year.
