I wanted the clean look of the faring mirrors. But I also wanted to be able to see behind me as well. I am 6,1". 2011 limited. I had sat on a friends bike and like other people said shoulders and arms was my view. Was disappointing. While researching I found a topic about modifying the template that comes with the mirrors. Stated, move the holes 1/2 to the outside on the template. Very easy and worked like a charm. The more I thought about it, if you move the mirror that far it REALLY changes your view. And it did. If it's already installed. You reuse one of the holes and the second hole will be covered. If this helps anyone that's good also. Ride safe!

Thanks for all the input. Since I don't have handlebar mounted mirrors at all I think I'll start by getting a pair of long stem mirrors. If that still doesn't do it I'll try some extenders.

I have the split vision mirrors and after adjusting to the difference I love them.
