I'm helping a buddy with a project. He's currently got an 01 ultra with the 88 screaming eagle motor and wants to throw on a larger throttle body. I found this:
Kuryakyn 439 Wild Things Throttle Body https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000GV7AGA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_xP7tCbTPEGKQN
We know he's going to need a dyno tune when done. What's everyone's thoughts? Is it worth the $400+ he'll invest or is his money better doesn't elsewhere?
The link doesn't have a description of what bikes it'll fit but I'm going to go to the kuryakin web page and see if I can find more info.
That's what I told him. Get a carb and be done with it. I even found a kit on the kuryakyn website to make it easy. He however, wants to stick with efi.

In the 18 years since his bike was new a lot of options that were once available have fallen by the wayside. He will need to tune his bike and firms like S&S have a tunable replacement ECU for him, so it may be worth seeing if they also have a bigger throttle body.
Hey guys, thanks for the responses. I reported back to my buddy what I found out and..... he's selling the bike and buying a 15 soft tail. I hope his butt can handle the difference.
