Selling and buying anything requires a meeting of the minds. It requires a person who really wants to sell something and a buyer looking for the object. We know the seller wants to sell because the person listed the motorcycle on multiple sites and is asking a fair price, based on the majority of the feedback on this posting. What I think is missing is a buyer. From the responses I see, I don't think the OP is really in the market, he is trying to look for reasons not to buy. Once the motorcycle is gone, the OP will talk about how he missed a good deal. If you are so afraid you will have buyers remorse, you will never buy.
As for the cash offers, although I have never sold a Harley, I have sold a few unique cars for my aunt. It was amazing how many people would ask for a cash price. Even one alluded to me keeping part of it and telling my aunt that the car was worth less than we asked. If it is a $100 transaction, I expect cash. When it is a $10,000 transaction, I want a certified check. If the buyer keeps talking cash, I label them in a different category and never return their inquiry.
Do you make a habit of judging people based on a few posts they've made online? I won't reciprocate because doing so would put me in the same boat. All I can ask is that you not make it a habit. It makes you look petty and self-righteous, which I am ***uming you are not like that in person.
If this is being sold on ebay it is really easy to see what has recently sold by clicking on "sold listings" this will give you an idea (only an idea) on what other similar Road Kings have sold for with what options/mileage. Based open prior ebay "sells" not listings, this appears to be a little high. I've seen 2014 and up low mileage Road Kings sell in that price range. I recently purchased a 2017 Silver Road King with 5K miles for a little under $13K, but every bike is different and every selling area is different.
I purchased one off of Ebay years ago. Had it taken to a dealership of the manufacture for a pre-inspection. It flagged several things and I talked to the dealership selling the car and they agreed to repair them and the price stayed the same so I put a 10% deposit down. Had the pre-inspection dealer do the work, send me a copy of the work order and completion.
The dealer meet me at the airport, went thru the paperwork and inspected the vehicle in person. Drove it home across the country. Overall wasn't a bad experience.
On some of the other bits on here. I had someone once tell me it is a successful negation if both parties feel they gotten taken advantage of. The seller took lower than he wanted but the buyer paid higher then he wanted. IN the end they are at the middle. Doesn't matter if it is cash, certified check or pennies. As long as the amount that is agreed upon is paid and deposited and cleared my account I am happy.

I can't even imagine buying a vehicle of any kind off of an Ebay Auction.
I bought an old 71' K5 Blazer off ebay - after wining the bid I told the seller that I had already lined up a shop that would do a compression test and road-worthy once over otherwise no deal. Guy had no problem with that at all.

I've bought a bunch of vehicles off ebay although mostly watercraft. Never had an issue. Sold a few through ebay as well. I use craigslist to buy and sell too. Again, never a problem. Good deals can be found on both.
I hate chickenshit cheap buyers, the bike is a good deal at 11 or even 12 grand. Mint condition, no miles, new tires, back rest, luggage rack. Buy it or shut up.
