As the OP, thanks for all of the advice and insight. As I had indicated, I have nothing to compare my ride to; however, the ride seems comfortable, and the cornering is very good.
Without the opportunity to simply swap out shocks with no cost involved, I see no reason to spend the money.
After reading the posts from DK Customs I became interested in The Bitubo WME02V2 13" shocks so I did some research. DK Customs sells those shocks for $525 plus shipping. I found the same shock at Bellissimoto located in Nevada https://www.bellissimoto.com/index.p...D004WME02V2%20 for $449 with free shipping. Almost $100 difference after factoring in the shipping cost. Bellissimoto also orders the springs according to weight of rider.
I called DKCustoms to ask if they would price match or at least ship for free, they said the best they could do was split the shipping. Most vendors will ship a shock purchase free of charge.

There is real science behind suspension mechanics.

You may not want, need, or be able to afford the ultimate shocks for your bike, but to be sure, upgraded suspension is a real benefit to ride quality and safety.
Ask any racer. Lee Parks has devoted his life to suspension mechanics.
I'm grateful to people like DK and to Howard for their knowledge and for their dedication to customer service.
If you think suspension doesn't make a difference, you don't really understand.
