Electronic Throttle! Fly by wire from the same people who can't fix the F***ing radio! My a$$ tends to pucker at the thought of screaming down the highway with the cruise control motor in charge of the throttle! My work truck is an '04 Chevy with fly by wire. A rat made a nest in the engine compartment and chewed up the wiring. They'll do funny things when they're shorted out.

One thing is guaranteed. This forum is going to be one busy MF in days to come. Most dealers can't change a flat correctly much less work on the new fandangled gadgetry coming out.

I got my dues paid and seat reserved![sm=popcorn.gif]

as with anything new, it'll take a while for the aftermarket to figure it out, once they do all will be right with the world... but it'll be a bit frustrating for the early adopters...

No cruise motor anymore, ECM does it all, they can add cruise to any 08 easy now and it is offered as a option on all touring, the 08s are on the harley site now if you want a peek. The copper anniv. edition is a love it or hate it to me. hate it!

They are making them more and more like the Metrics all the time. Now even the tanks are model year specific? I am not happy with the direction this seems to signal for the MoCo.

seems to me that this is nothing new for them... tons of parts out there that are specific... look thru the parts catalog... thing designed for 2001 and up, or 84 and older or whatever... its no different in my eyes... largely you can thank customer demands for most of these changes, the rest you can blame on the epa... HD actually starts listening to customers saying x, y, and z, so they actually provide x, y, and z... now they get slammed for that??? i say bring it on, who cares if a gas tank is year or model specific, its a fuggin gas tank, a chunk of tin, BFD!!!! the major components of the bike are essentially the same, chassis, motor, trans, etc...

Thanks, very interesting as it seemsmost parts are specific to this model year. Also seems that they have tried very hard to not allow us to work on our own bikes.[:@]
Yeah, like needing the Digital Technician II to bleed brakes!
