Bought a new 21 street glide special, 3 weeks after purchase I noticed a stain/ residue on 60% of frt wheel. Made an apointment for 1st service 6 weeks after purchase. Mechanic tries to clean/polish wheel and tells me it's corrosion. Service manager tells me HD does not warranty metal finishes and pretty much blows me off. I was ready to leave and decided to talk to general manager. She was polite and understanding and said she would look into situation and call me in 1-2 days. What are your thoughts? Thanks
My riding buddy has a 21 Road King and the rear wheel is pitting. MoCo says it's a cosmetic issue and won't cover it. Let us know what they tell you, would you ? Thanks
Will post pic tomorrow. I am biting my tongue, lol. I have ridden bikes for over 30yrs, was a service manager of 12 yrs at a multi franchise Japanese and Italian dealer. I decided to buy my 1st ever HD and I enjoy the bike. But after less than 2mo ownership of a 30k bike and they dont take care of a heavily corroded wheel I will be very disappointed 😞
If I would have known leaving dealership that I had to apply a sealer on a bare aluminum wheel right away I would have done that 1st thing. FYI- Bike has been in garage day 1 and never ridden in rain. Hell, I havent even used a hose to wash it yet, just wiping down with S100

Which one of their products were you using? Total Cycle Cleaner? If so, there have been reports that stuff is bad news.
OP; We did a complete walk-around of my new bike (every time) w/ Sales Rep...looking for flaws/issues before taking ownership. How did you miss such a blemish before venturing off the lot? Show some pics so we have a visual...
