I presently have an 06 Ultra with 10,000 miles. Other than the injectors & a new fork lock ,bike has been flawless. I looked into trading in mine on on 08 with ABS, cast wheels & no security. They will only give me 14,500 trade in & the 08 is msrp less 345 for freight, since I've purchased several bikes from them. So for me it would be 8200.00 to upgrade, pretty steep! After putting 40 miles & spending an hour on an 08 road glide the decision was easy to keep mine another year at least. The increased power of the 96" was only noticeable down low in 1st 2nd & 3rd gear. Roll on power seemed the same as my stock 88. brakes are a very noticeable difference! 6th gear drops rpm roughly 375 . Good if you're running above 80mph all day. Large tank is a welcome addition.. drive by wire feels the same as cables. The IDS in the sprocket was not noticeable to me. Bike did not shift any smoother than my 06, more hype than anything I think. Sitting at traffic lights the heat was noticeably more than my 06. Just my opinion,
