No interest in the new STGST. If anything, i would swap the gas tanks on my 19 STGS. As for the 117, im very happy with my 114 with a S&S 475 cam. Had they stuffed a 131 in the bike, they may have got my attention a little more

I like it. I do prefer stretched bags, but I like how HD is paying attention to the trends and what people are doing.

Aesthetically, I love it. I'm not a fan of the droopy bags, and especially on the black, I like the bronze contrast.

If someone already has a Special, can't see moving to this. For a first time RG or SG shopper, it is an interesting choice.

Personally, I would have thought an ST model would have come with the better suspension. Overall though, it's $30k. Past the extra 3" of motor and aesthetic stuff, not sure what you're getting over the Special.

I'm very interested in the LRS ST and have been following it heavily. The 117 motor is the same as the ST If the dyno charts that Fuel Moto has on a CVO stock 117 are correct, the 117 would be the 1st HD air cooled engine I wouldn't be rushing out to change. Although, I am very curious to see what the Stage II Power cam does.

At the very least, I'm happy to see HD acknowledging performance as a criteria for their bikes. Some of the newer offerings are starting to become interesting for sure.

I kinda like the LRST also, one thing that I don’t like is the 2 different size bags, I personally would change that exhaust on day one to a different style and at that point the bag difference would really be magnified. OCD I guess! LoL

My opinion is they are selling you on a bunch of "fluff". Those are by no means a performance bagger.

I don't see the cost increase. They are trying to cash in on a new trend so props for recognizing it. They put on a smaller fender, less paint, less material. They put on shorter bags. Less material, less paint, no steel drag pad on the bag. On the specials and some cvo, the bags are a selling point. No rear fender extention. Less parts, and paint. Taller shocks off the bigger touring bikes is a wash to me. Black versus bronze painted rims and engine bits is a wash, look good though. Color choices are black or shiny primer. Intake is different. So, the way I see it is a grand a cube for the 117 over the 114. That's a spendy 3 cubes, which is a waste. I don't know of a single performance bagger that didn't put on a big bore kit. So itd been a better choice to put a 114 or 107 in it and price it in between the special and standard. Or put the 131 in it and charge low 30's. I don't see many paying 7 grand more for street glide standard bike with a 117 and blacked out bits.

I like the look better than sgs, especially the fender. Better color options would be nice.

Pretty much an EG Standard with a radio and CVO motor. I can't justify the extra $$$.
