Hi Steve and SpikeCT , I thought I would give Phil a break for awhile and pick y'alls brain for a second. Trying to find out where to go to change the timing #'s that Doug from HeadQuarters have . I've got his numbers but I don't know where to find it in the dtt. Any help is apprecitated. Tim.

TB,
Go to Edit, Edit 3D tables, Advance Tables, Edit Advance table
Now to let you know... The HQ tables DOES NOT have all the RPM positions so split the difference between the lower and higher and use that to create a smooth table.

Exactly as Spike said.

Below 3000 rpm you will have to split the difference to get the smooth curve, above 3000 rpm they have all the numbers right there.

They are aggressive timing charts, but with the auto-tuning AFR it will adjust the fuel perfectly. If you get some pinging, just note where it happens and go in a back it off a bit in those areas.

Hi everyone, about these auto tunes you are talking about. Will these fit a stock bike? I have the PCIII and it seems to lack something. My bike acts like something is holding it back. I have a 04 RK with anArlen Ness big sucker and Hooker pipes. It seems like I"m pulling a tree behind me.
Thanks for any info and I love this site.

Yes they will, Raymond.

For a generally stock configuration, like you described, the ThunderMax would probably be your best bet. You would have to have oxygen (O2) sensor bungs welded onto your head pipes, but that's no biggie. Everything is included in both the TMax and DTT TCFI-ID kits.

I've been interested in both the TMax and the DTT for some time. Out of curiousity, do you have to splice in something for the DTT? In the installation instructions it says:

"2006 and later models only (skip ahead to step 5 for 2001-2005 models). The TCFI parts bag includes a green PC link jumper wire with a male Deutsch terminal on one end and a small female Delphi Micro-Pack terminal on the other end. Install this wire between pin 1 of the Delphi connector that mates with the TCFI module and pin 1 of the OE diagnostic connector (four terminal Deutsch). Refer to the factory service manual for connector location and disassembly techniques. "

Reading about the Tmax it doesn't sound like this is necessary for the Tmax.

Red,
You don't need to splice anything.... You install it in the existing connector. What your actually doing is adding in another wire with pin into an existing connector. Its not a difficult thing to do. If you want I have a guide I created on my 06 that may clarify it for you. PM me your email and I will send it to you....

As for running a DTT on a stage one setup yes. I did it for a while as I new I was doing a build. Just wanted to make sure I understood the module for the build setup.

Right,

All you do is open up the wiring harness, insert the new wires in their numbered spot, close up the harness, and plug it into the new ECM.

The install is very easy, route the wires safely, and adjust the TPS and throttle screw. Of course, being on the phone with PhilM for the TPS and throttle screw part made it much easier

Thanks Phil, that is something to look at because here in sunny Cal when the temps go up my bike runs like hell. It runs like a raped Ape in the mornings going to work but in the afternoon when its hot its a slug.
