even when I disconnected the clutch switch I still have the same problem. I removed the clutch switch and disconnected the connector for the left side control switch housing, still the same problem
But what about the cruise switch itself.
Your description of the issue is the same as what I experienced on my old Street Glide.
Push the cruise button, Orange light would come on. Then pushing down on the switch to "set" the speed, nothing would happen.
Sometimes it worked, but most times not.
Dealer replaced the actual cruise switch, and the issue was resolved.

the set switch self its fine. I took the set switch out, check the wires from the switch to the ECM and measured it with the multi meter, all good.
