Default remapping a Tmax

Anyone have any info on the correct procedure for putting in a new base map on the Tmax. I have one in now but want to try a diiferent one. Actually, it is a newer version of the one I am using. I'm not sure if re-initializing is the way to go or if something needs to be done before just rewriting over the old map. I have gone on Zippers site but most of the pages are "under construction". If anyone knows the correct procedure or has any documentation listing the procedure, I would greatly appreciate the info.

Just download the new map then click on the clear "learned fuel adjustments" in the map editingsection and then go ride and let the autotune do it's thing. You do not need to reinialize it. I have done this numerous times just playing with different maps.

Don't you clear the IAC also? I would think you would have to do the IAC-Auto and let the bike reach 289 degree head temp again while relearning. Just guessing here.

cowboyglide, I not going to disagree with you , as far as i am concerned you are the gehru of the tm. I thought you had to re initialize anytime you made a change

Check with Zippers but it is my understanding you only have to go through the initial setuponce unless you are changing the pipes, air cleanr, etc. My idle has never changed during all the map changes. Idle is always the same.

On mine, I loaded the new map, cleared the learned fuel adjustments and then reran the IAC (without adjusting manually - even though the manual says to do that..tech support says don't adjust that..)

I have Rush pipes and still get popping on decel so I probably need to call them too.
